Depending on the device, the process is fast, and it only takes a few questions about your device to get you a quote that works for you. If you’re happy with the quote, you can instantly receive your store credit.
You have a couple of options! You can use your store credit right away to buy a new device, or you can receive an OWLtech Giftcard for the trade-in value, which you can use on a future purchase.
We accept a wide variety of devices for trade-in. We currently accept used laptops, desktops, tablets, iPhones, audio equipment, games & gaming consoles, and much more! Be sure to bring those charger, power adapters and cables, they add value! Corporate or Temple-owned devices will not be accepted.
Before you bring in any device for trade, sign out of all cloud services and make sure to back up and remove any personal data or files. You can back up your files to Temple University’s OneDrive cloud storage. Once your device is accepted for trade, OWLtech and Temple University are not responsible for any information or data left on the device. Once the device is traded in, the information and data can’t be recovered.
If your device doesn't have a trade-in value, we offer free secure recycling services through Temple's Computer Recycling Center.
